Washington, DC – The top 12 business models have been selected out of the previous round of 25 contestants to move on to the next round of the DC StartUp Cup Business Model Competition. Participants will compete for over $17,500 in cash and prizes and receive priceless business advice from coaches and judges throughout the competition.

The Top 12 businesses will present their refined business model and give a five-minute pitch to judges who will identify the seven best business models and advance them to the final round on September, 24 during DC StartUp Week. The seven finalists will then work with business coaches who will offer resources and expertise to help hone their business model and pitching techniques.
The seven finalists will compete for the top prize awarded  during November, 30 at a ceremony. The first place winner will receive $10,000, second place $5,000 and third place $2,500.
